Well lookie here what showed up in the post today! A painting of Dr.Robotnik by Milton Knight that I purchased from him just last week! I bought a frame for it and it's currently sitting proud above my computer. He had three different pieces of art for sale on his website although I'm not sure if the other two are still available. Either way it's my first piece of original artwork by a professional animator (one who I've talked about on here many times before, mainly for his work on the 90's Sonic cartoon) so I'm happy. Oh yeah, and i contributed a little bit to his Robotnik Toy Chest page. :)
Here's a clip of the man sketching out a quick Robotnik for an extra on the American Sonic DVD. Look how expressive his drawing is in such a quick sketch!

not 2 kene on this robotnik... much rather the original Japanese one. the new generation one sucks 2...
I like both. The only one that's nothing special to me is the SATAM one that was just a generic bad guy (though his voice was awesome in that too).
Very nice!
Might I ask where you got a toy of Vincent from? Don't remember those ever existing.
Ryan: I found it at a car boot sale, never seen them before or since myself, but I'm glad I found him.
Drat! You always find the best stuff at car booties.
Was this done on commission, or was it a part of a gallery (which I can't seem to find on his site)?
I'd love to have a RoBUTTnik piece of art.
and as soon as I ask that I discover the link to his MORE ROBOTNIK PAINTINGS FOR SALE! button. :p
I did it! I sprang for the one titled 'Slow Burn' Robotnik.

Here's hoping its still available! I'm jealous that you got a full on butt shot, but a trademark "about to explode" pose is pretty ace as well. And the price is great, considering some students back at art school sold stuff for 5 times as much.
Ah yes, that was my favorite of the 3 new paintings as well, but I'm happy with the one I've got. Send us a photo if/when you get it! :)
I successfully nabbed it! I also had a little correspondence with Milt (as he calls himself). Real nice guy! He even watched and commented on a youtube animation of mine. :)
I'll make sure to send photos of the painting your way when it arrives.
Sorry to dominate the comments, but I just noticed that as I purchased my painting, Milton uploaded a new selection. Love sick Robotnik (probably looking in a mirror):

I have to say, had I seen that one I'd be very tempted to pick it. B^)
